ZiLE

ZiLE is a Haitian musical group led by singer Anie Alerte Joseph. The project emerged in late 2024 as a new chapter in Anie’s career following difficulties involving her former management. The name “ZiLE,” meaning “island,” symbolizes Haiti, Caribbean identity, resilience and the ability of Haitian music to travel internationally.

The group blends direct konpa with soul, pop, Caribbean rhythms and contemporary Haitian sounds. Its music explores love, betrayal, freedom, justice, healing and cultural pride. ZiLE introduced itself with Ayiti in early 2025 before releasing its debut album, Vwayaj, in June 2025. Although Anie is its lead vocalist and central public figure, ZiLE is presented as a collective musical project rather than simply an alternate solo name.
